Stronger together, today and for the future.

At Freeport, we are committed to engaging community members, seeking feedback and connecting with local leaders to promote resilience.

Strong Communities Are Built Through Listening, Partnership and Action

At Freeport, community engagement is a consistent part of how we operate. It involves ongoing collaboration with local stakeholders on solutions to mitigate impacts that may be caused by our operations as well as local development priorities to aid the communities where we operate in creating long-term community resilience. From regular dialogue with local leaders to projects shaped by community input, our approach is grounded in being responsive to community input and building and maintaining trust.

Meaningful Engagement

Stakeholder engagement is about listening to and working with communities to address concerns and align company actions with local needs.

Community Partnership Panels

CPPs are forums where community members meet quarterly to discuss Freeport-McMoRan’s activities, share insights, and collaborate on projects.

Voconiq Local Voices

In 2025, Freeport launched a community listening initiative called “Local Voices” – a series of public surveys that will be ongoing in our operating communities to provide an opportunity for citizens to share their thoughts about the issues that matter most to them, informing our actions, decisions and opportunities for continuous improvement.

Community Partnership Panels

Freeport convenes Community Partnership Panels (CPPs) across our operating regions to foster open, ongoing dialogue with community members.

Each panel includes a diverse cross-section of local leaders and stakeholders who:

  • Share updates and insights about local Freeport operations
  • Identify community priorities and opportunities for social investment
  • Collaborate on solutions to challenges and impacts
  • Act as a bridge between the company and the community to build enduring relationships built on trust, transparency and shared value.

Panels meet regularly and serve as a critical tool for trust, transparency, and shared impact.
