Employees Raise Over $12 Million in United Way Campaign

The company’s annual United Way campaign wrapped up with $12.7 million raised to support nonprofits working to help those in need.
This total figure includes $4.7 million in employee donations plus the company match – showing the power of partnership in creating better futures in the communities the company calls home.
“The generosity and heart our employees demonstrated through this campaign is remarkable,” said Tracy Bame, President of the Freeport-McMoRan Foundation and Senior Director-Corporate Social Performance and Community Development. “Every donation offers hope and creates opportunities for those in need. On behalf of Freeport’s leadership team, thanks to everyone who helped make this year’s campaign a success.”
Each year, the company partners with United Way to raise funds for a vast network of nonprofit agencies working to advance the common good – with a focus on education, income and health. The overall goal is to create long-lasting change in communities by strategically addressing the underlying causes of problems.
